Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how the system of cutting the weight of crates in the buying and selling of fruit and vegetables in terms of muamalah fiqh in Nagari Sungayang, Sungayang District, Tanah Datar Regency. The type of research that the authors used in this study was field research with a qualitative approach. The data sources in this study were the owners of fruit and vegetable warehouses (toke) and fruit and vegetable farmers in Nagari Sungayang. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. The results showed that the implementation of cutting the weight of the crates for buying and selling fruit and vegetables in Nagari Sungayang, Sungayang District, Tanah Datar Regency was carried out with fruit crates made of wood with different weights and sizes. The deduction for the weight of the crate set by the toke in this sale and purchase contains uncertainty and loss for one of the parties because the difference between the weight of the empty crate and the net weight of the crate is not calculated, in which the net weight is calculated based on the deduction determined by the toke earlier. The practice of buying and selling like this is prohibited because it is not in accordance with the rules in Fiqh Muamalah, namely in Q.S An-Nisa' verse 29 because there are parties who are not happy with the buying and selling transaction
